RemCam

Manage your VMS servers without ever leaving the VMS

RemCam presents each server's desktop as an ONVIF camera inside NX Witness or any ONVIF-capable VMS - full remote view and keyboard/mouse control, with every session automatically recorded. No TeamViewer. No VNC. No RDP.

Get RemCam See how it works

Why teams replace remote-access tools with RemCam

One Go binary per server. No plugins, no SDKs, no cloud relay, no third-party vendor inside your security network.

Native in your VMS

The server desktop appears as a camera in NX Witness or any ONVIF Profile S VMS. View it, control it, and manage the server from the client your operators already use.

Every session is evidence

Because the desktop is a camera feed, the VMS records management sessions on its normal schedule - a timestamped video audit trail that TeamViewer, VNC and RDP simply don't produce.

Smaller attack surface

Remove third-party remote-access software and its exposed ports, licensing agents and update channels. RemCam traffic blends into normal VMS camera traffic on your network.

Full keyboard & mouse control

An integrated web console - proxied by the VMS - provides keyboard and mouse injection, configuration and account management from a standard browser.

Single binary, zero dependencies

One self-contained Go binary per managed server. No runtime stack to patch, no database, no cloud account. Deploy with a copy and a service install.

Platform agnostic

Built for NX Witness and proven there - but any VMS that supports ONVIF discovery and web-page proxying works without any platform-specific development.

How it works

From download to a recorded management session in minutes.

Install the binary

Drop the RemCam binary onto each server you manage and install it as a system service - see the install guide.

Desktop as a camera

RemCam acts as a CCTV camera, giving an admin audit trail with ONVIF events published to the VMS.

Activate your licence

Enter your licence key in the RemCam web console. Activation binds the licence to the server's hardware - see the activation guide.

Manage - on the record

Open the feed, take keyboard and mouse control through the embedded console, and let the VMS archive the whole session automatically.

See it in action

Two minutes from the NX Witness client to full keyboard-and-mouse control of the server - recorded the whole way.

Frequently asked questions

Which VMS platforms does RemCam support?
RemCam is developed and tested against NX Witness, and works with any VMS that supports ONVIF Profile S discovery and web-page proxying or network access to the embedded console. There is no platform-specific plugin to install.
Is there a free trial?
Yes - a 7-day free trial, no credit card and no sign-up. Download RemCam, install it on the server you want to manage, and it starts the trial automatically on first run. When you're ready, buy a licence and activate it on the same server - no reinstall needed. The trial runs once per server.
How is RemCam licensed?
One licence per managed server. The licence is activated from the RemCam console and bound to the server's hardware. You can deactivate a licence and move it to replacement hardware - keep the Key Package issued at activation for this.
How do I receive my licence key?
After checkout your licence key is issued and emailed to the address used at purchase, normally within a few hours and always within one business day. The activation page covers the steps once it arrives.
What's the difference between Perpetual and Annual?
Perpetual is a one-time payment for the current product generation - it never expires. Annual is a yearly subscription that stays current while active and can be cancelled anytime from the receipt email's management link.
Does RemCam need internet access or a cloud account?
No cloud account and no relay servers. Activation contacts our licensing service once; day-to-day operation runs entirely inside your network.
