Activate your licence

Just want to evaluate RemCam? You don't need a licence key to start. Install RemCam (step 2 below) and it begins a 7-day free trial on that server automatically - no key, no card, no sign-up. When you're ready to buy, follow the steps below to activate a licence on the same server. The trial runs once per server.

1. Receive your key

After checkout, Paddle emails your receipt immediately. Your RemCam licence key is issued separately and emailed to the same address - normally within a few hours and always within one business day. Check spam if it hasn't arrived, then contact support@remcam.software quoting your Paddle order number.

2. Install RemCam

Download the build for your platform from download.remcam.software and install it as a service on the server you want to manage - the install guide covers this step by step.

3. Enter the key

Open the RemCam web console on that server, go to the licensing section, and paste your licence key. Activation contacts our licensing service once and binds the licence to that server's hardware.

4. Keep your Key Package safe

Activation issues a Key Package - a text record containing your licence key, hardware ID, and activation details. Store it somewhere safe: it may be required to deactivate the licence or reinstall RemCam on the same server.

Moving to new hardware

Deactivate the licence from the RemCam console on the old server first, then activate on the replacement. If the old server is dead and can't be deactivated, contact support with your Key Package and we'll issue a replacement key.
